The 15th edition of BAFICI features 400 films; retrospectives of Hong Sang-soo, Julio Bressane and Alfredo Aristarain; and a strong Chilean presence.
BUENOS AIRES – The Buenos Aires Independent Film Festival announced its full lineup Tuesday in a press conference that was held at the fest’s new headquarters at the Recoleta Cultural Center. Festival director Marcelo Panozzo and Buenos Aires Ministry of Culture Hernan Lombardi presented its 15th edition at the center.
“We’re very glad to celebrate the 15th anniversary of this cinephile meeting, which ensures a permanent renovation within continuity. A festival is defined by its films, and every year, BAFICI surprises, renews, challenges, and allows us to discover unknown talents," said Lombardi.
