The hit Bollywood superhero films will be remade as four animated TV movies to air on Cartoon Network India beginning in July.
NEW DELHI – In a first of its kind deal in India, a major Bollywood franchise will extend its reach via specially created animated TV versions. Cartoon Network, leading Indian animation house Toonz and Bollywood banner Film Kraft have come to an agreement to produce four animated movies based on the hit superhero franchise Krrish, directed by veteran Bollywood actor and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan.
The franchise began with the 2003 release Koi...Mil Gaya (I Found Someone) starring Roshan's son Hrithik Roshan, who will return later this year in Krrish 3. The third installment of the Film Kraft franchise also stars actresses Priyanka Chopra and Kangna Ranaut, along with actor Vivek Oberoi.
