Universal Pictures has acquired a comedy pitch from writer Jay Reiss (The Oranges) entitled Family Therapy for Jason Bateman to produce through his Aggregate Films company.
The story follows a dysfunctional family who hires a therapist to fix their issues on the eve of a big family wedding. It isn't known if Jason Bateman plans to star in the comedy as well, or if he will only serve as a producer.
Jason Bateman's Aggregate Films, which he runs out of the Universal lot with James Garavente, recently produced the hit comedy Identity Thief. The company is also producing Jason Bateman's directorial debut Bad Words.
