Strap in, Anchorman fans. Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) and the rest of his news team are stepping into the modern age of the 1980s for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, a sequel that sends our heroes to New York City in an effort to revitalize their careers. Ahead of then lies romance, rivalry, fame and buckets of political incorrectness.
Since it’s been a few years since the release of Anchorman, it might be worth recapping the former members of the Channel 4 news team. There’s Ron, the news anchor, who is kind of a big deal; Brick Tamland (Steve Carell) reads the weather reports and is not completely comfortable with green screen technology just yet; Champ Kind (David Koechner), sports, a man who isn’t afraid to say, “I love you;” Finally there’s field reporter Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), and his friends Octagon, James Westfall and Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.
